Bar Culture
Buzios' bar scene follows the sun: sunset cocktails at the Orla Bardot or Porto da Barra, dinner and wine on Rua das Pedras, then late-night drinks at the small bars hidden on the cobblestone side streets. The caipirinha is the undisputed drink of choice — lime, sugar, and cachaça, shaken at every table.
Typical evening: sunset cocktail on the Orla Bardot → dinner on Rua das Pedras → nightcap at a cobblestone bar.
Bars & Nightlife
Buzios is not Ibiza. The nightlife is social rather than rave-oriented: dinner stretches to 11 PM, followed by drinks at bars on the side streets, with two clubs available if you want to go further.
Live Music
Praca Santos Dumont hosts free live concerts almost every evening in season — local musicians playing forró, bossa nova, and samba from sundown. Several restaurants feature live acoustic sets at the tables.
Movida Bar
The most popular club in Buzios. Electronic music, themed nights, and a lively crowd. Opens at midnight, peaks around 2 AM.
Privilege Buzios
The larger of the two clubs, with a resident DJ program and occasional international acts.
Weekend Schedule
- Fri/Sat Friday & Saturday: Porto da Barra and Rua das Pedras bars stay open until 2–3 AM. Clubs open around midnight.
- Sun Sunday evenings are quieter — ideal for a relaxed dinner without the weekend crowd.
Both clubs are within earshot of the Orla Bardot area on busy nights. We provide earplugs at the property for light sleepers.
Les & Vania's Picks
After years of eating our way through Buzios, these are the restaurants we keep returning to.
Restaurante Altto e Lounge Bar
Our nearest restaurant neighbor — and we think it's the best kept secret on Orla Bardot. The sunset view from their terrace rivals our own patio. We walk over almost every evening when guests aren't in residence.
NAMI Gastrobar
The most creative menu in Búzios, full stop. The ceviche and tacos are extraordinary. Porto da Barra sunsets from their deck are spectacular. This is our recommendation for guests celebrating something special.
Don Juan RestoBar Búzios
When guests ask for one reliable, upscale restaurant downtown that never disappoints — this is always our answer. The steak quality is exceptional and consistent.
